Asbury United Methodist Church began in 1986 with four adults and. two children. Twenty years later Asbury is one of the largest churches in the Birmingham area, with a membership of nearly 2,200 and an average Sunday attendance of 1,250 people.
Windsor church to stay put
The heavens seem to be smiling on a century-old Windsor church. The old Methodist Church, one of Windsor's most prominent landmarks, will not need to be moved to make way for downtown redevelopment.
Wrecked church won't be repaired, community decides
A historic church near Prince Albert has been wrecked beyond repair by vandals. After thousands of dollars worth of damage was done to 103-year-old St. Andrew's Church near the town of Halcro last month, community members decided it will be torn down.
